Programs
PurposeFull People – PurposeFull People is a character education program that helps students build essential character and social-emotional skills. Each month, we'll focus on a specific character trait. Character Strong will focus on 10 traits (Courage, Respect, Perseverance, Gratitude, Honesty, Kindness, Empathy, Responsibility, Cooperation, Creativity).
Wolfe counselor is available to support students' academic, social, and emotional growth through:
- Individual and Small Group Counseling: Counseling sessions are available for students based on teacher, parent, or student referrals. These sessions address topics such as friendship skills, social skills, managing emotions, anxiety, coping with family changes and more.
- Classroom Guidance Lessons: The counselor visits each grade level throughout the year to provide classroom guidance lessons. This provides an opportunity for students to acquire academic, social, and emotional/personal skills while working with their peers. Topics may focus upon the monthly character trait, anti-bullying, friendship, organization, tolerance, self-discipline, and coping skills.
- Consultation: The counselor often collaborates with parents, teachers, and administrators to provide solution-focused interventions and guidance to promote academic success.
Wolfe Kindness Crew
The Kindness Crew consists of students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Students meet once a month with the counselors, and complete a project promoting kindness, as well as school and bringing the community together.
KEYS (Keep Encouraging Youth toward Success) – Adult community volunteers commit to mentoring students throughout the year. This program pairs students with adult mentors who meet regular to build positive connections and provide guidance. If you feel your child could benefit from this program, please reach out to me.
